She was born in Israel in 1940 and was one of the first students trained personally by Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais, the founder of the method. She has a PhD from the University of Heidelberg and a master\u2019s degree from Boston University. She is also the founder of the Child\u2019Space\u00ae Method, a holistic approach to child development that uses touch, movement, and communication to support babies in achieving developmental milestones.<\/p>\n<p>After working with many adults and children, she could see that many problems arose already in early childhood. IT IS BASED IN JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA AND ADVOCATES EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION FOR UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN FROM BIRTH UNTIL 2 YEARS OLD.<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Early Childhood Education<\/strong>\u00a0is a passion of the Founding Director of\u00a0<strong>Hamba Bamba Funda (HBF)<\/strong>, Ms Monja Boonzaier, and her dream is to help develop a ground-breaking\u00a0<strong>Early Childhood Educational Training Program<\/strong>, unique to the South African culture.<\/p>\n<p>Woven into the work that HBF do in Early Childhood Education in underprivileged communities, are principles of\u00a0<strong>Asset Based Community Development (ABCD)<\/strong>, trauma specific approaches. Somatic movement practices such <strong>as The Feldenkrais Method\u00ae, Chava Shelhav Child\u2019Space Method, Postural Integration\u00ae<\/strong> and <strong>SomaSensing\u2122<\/strong> are implemented in the interaction.<\/p>\n<p>One of the biggest challenges these mothers are facing is how to connect and build on having a positive and healthy relationship with their children when they live their day to day lives in a constant state of survival.<\/p>\n<p>An essential part of HBF\u2019s work is to pay attention to the young mother\u2019s need for support, trust and to create a safe space to share and explore questions they might have about what they could do with their own lives or addressing concerns about physical or socio-emotional development of their child.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Our outreach program is a two-fold approach:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong> Caregiver Intervention<\/strong>: We offer crucial support to mothers by educating them on the significance of parent-child interaction. Through workshops and guidance, we empower mothers to care for, engage with, and stimulate their children.
